MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global breakthroughs into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. In Medellin the year of Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his debut long player. The album climbed to number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He was a part of the team together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He the following year dropped his sophomore album chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her most streamed song Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo has an instrumental background. Both his parents and brother also play music. According to him, musicality was a fundamental part of his life. In his childhood he was instructed to play the piano, guitar and the ukulele. His initial choice of career was to be a vet However, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn singing with an instructor from a Cuban teacher. It was the result that he realized his talents for singing, and the result changed the course his life.
